Randy Lange – Chief Executive Officer

Randy Lange is Firebird’s Chief Executive Officer.  He is responsible for Firebird’s overall strategy and market positioning.  He has two decades of experience in the sales and delivery of professional services within the federal sector with an emphasis on the Intelligence and Law Enforcement domains. He has built a reputation in the industry as a trusted advisor to decision makers within the public- and private sector ecosystem supporting the federal government.

He has built a network of professional relationships that combines significant breadth in the Gov-Con market and specific depth in consulting services, IT, program management, and mission support.

He has a proven track record of architecting and executing growth strategies across large and small firms through a combination of organic and acquisitive growth. He also understands the talent and temperament required to grow and scale companies in a turbulent market. He combines knowledge of BD process and infrastructure and marries it with a creative vision for growth and understanding of market trends.

Randy Lange’s professional background includes successful stints at recognized global consulting firms such as Deloitte and Booz Allen Hamilton along with executive roles in highly successful small- and mid-tier firms. PMP certified, he started in program delivery and account management and progressively moved into additional leadership responsibility over the course of his career. Over the last decade, he’s served in a range of executive leadership roles that encompass strategy, execution, and business development. He continues to advise a handful of small companies on matters of strategy, execution and growth. His very early career found him in front of the camera as a small market sports anchor and reporter.

Randy is heavily engaged in multiple trade and industry associations in a leadership capacity. He served on the Board of the Government Technology Services Coalition (GTSC)—a trade association representing small- and mid-tier government services firms—and also served as the founding chairman of its Business Development Exchange. He is active within SECAF and has past involvement with the Professional Service Council’s (PSC) and others.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Communications/Broadcasting from the University of Washington (Go Huskies!) and a Master’s Degree in Justice and Public Policy from American University in DC. In the community, Randy Lange gives time to youth sports. He served on the Board of the Capitol Hill Little League in DC and has coached for many years. As a native Californian, he recently moved to the San Diego area with his wife and two boys to be closer to family. He splits his time between Firebird’s Arlington and Carlsbad offices.
