Michael Koroluk – Chief Growth Officer


Michael Koroluk is Firebird’s Chief Growth Officer responsible for Firebird’s growth strategy and oversight and management of business development, capture and proposal operations. He has decades of experience in business development, corporate operations, profit-and-loss, and government program management across defense, civilian agency and intelligence markets. In this capacity, he maintains an established reputation as an honest broker in the development of strategic partnerships that provide value-added solutions to the federal government. He is focused on effective positioning of service offerings for successful growth through instilling a culture of staff and partner care, client-focus, and corporate accountability; efficient integration of business development into business area operations; and enabling staff to contribute to growth.

He has provided this expertise across a diverse set of capability offerings to include: Advisory and Assistance Services; Intelligence Analysis and Production; Management Consulting; Program Management; Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation; and Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance.

As a former U.S. Department of Homeland Security official with over a decade of expertise across the homeland security enterprise, he serves as a trusted advisor to public and private sector decision makers. His industry experience and technical knowledge has resulted in a proven track record of architecting and executing growth and operational strategies across large and mid-sized markets to expand delivery of solutions to clients to enhance the security and safety of our nation.

Michael previously served as the Senior Capture Executive at Belcan responsible for the development of capture best practices and tools, leading company’s top opportunity pursuits and recompete efforts and specializing in the capture of high-value, market-penetration opportunities. Prior to Belcan, he served as Director of Business Development at Schafer Corp., Program Director at BAE Systems, Director of Operations at Detica, a Component-level Chief of Staff at the Department of Homeland Security, Special Assistant to the Secretary of Labor; Operations Budget Manager for the President Bush’s Re-Election Committee, and Deputy Director of the Bush-Cheney 2000 General Election Legal and Compliance Committee.

He is a Project Management Institute certified Project Management Professional who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Geneseo and is a graduate of the 2012 BAE Systems Global Emerging Leadership Development Program. Michael is resides in Oakton, VA with his wife, Samantha, and their three children, Jacob, Kaitlyn, and Jayden.
