Firebird AST Announced as Winner of 11th Annual SECAF Government Project of the Year
GovCon Community Comes Together to Celebrate Excellence

The Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF) announced the winners of its 11th Annual Government Contractor Awards at a gala dinner in McLean, Virginia on Thursday, May 2. More than 500 people representing government contracting firms and leading industry professionals gathered to recognize and celebrate excellence. For more than a decade, SECAF’s flagship event has honored small and emerging government contractors by recognizing the key role these firms have in creating innovation and advancement within their industry.

More than 30 regional business leaders chose this year’s finalists from an exemplary group of applicants. Award winners were then selected by a distinguished group of judges, including Cynthia Barreda (President, Netcentrics), Shiv Krishnan (CEO, KOOLROX and Founder of INDUS Corp), Kevin Robbins (Co-Founder of Blue Delta Capital Partners and Co-Founder of Wolf Den Associates), Kwesi Rogers (Founder of Federal National Commercial Credit), and Peter Schulte (Principal, CM Equity).
Firebird AST was awarded the SECAF Government Project of the Year, which is given to a company that has delivered a stellar program with significant value to the federal government.

“We are incredibly proud of our U.S. Secret Service team which won Government Project of the Year at the SECAF Government Contractor awards. They exemplify the “one team-one fight” mantra that we live by. What they have accomplished is incredible and we celebrate them,” said Randy Lange, Chief Strategy Officer of Firebird AST.

“As we mark the start of the second decade of SECAF Awards, one thing remains constant – the companies that make it to this level are shining examples of the commitment, strategy and leadership that enable our community as a whole to reach higher levels,” stated Cameron Hamilton, Senior Managing Director of The McLean Group LLC.
